For the purpose of exhibiting the biodiversity of animals and plants, the Toronto Zoo is a large representation of the real life environments of our planet. One of the biggest display areas of a specific habitat is the Tundra Trek. There are benefits of this mimicry, such as the further understanding of the effects of human intervention and the importance of biodiversity, as well as a large variety of disadvantages and inadequacies that follow. Through observing the Tundra Trek and comparing it with the real tundra habitat, the similarities and differences become clear.
